CAUTION: Use caution when working with the below product functionality. Always create a backup of your data before proceeding with advanced solutions. If necessary, seek the assistance of a qualified Sage business partner, network administrator, or Sage customer support analyst.

 

 NOTE: Sage 50 can only import properly formatted .CSV and .IMP files. See the links below for information on importing specific types of data. 

Import data into Sage 50

  1. You must be in single-user mode to import data
  2. Export the data to one or more .CSV files.
  3. Modify the .CSV file(s), so they match the format required by Sage 50.
  4. Import the data into your current Sage 50 company.

 TIP: Exporting existing data from Sage 50 can provide a useful template to help format your record data for import. If a file has no records, then enter a few records manually, export them, and open the exported file in excel. See the articles linked below for information on specific types of records.
