Option 1: Download Sage 50
- Log into the server.
- Download the program from Sage 50: Download Portal and run the .exe file.
- If the Windows Firewall is enabled on the server, ensure to use the option to have Windows Firewall automatically configured to work with Sage 50.
- Select Advanced if the server only stores the data file and no one uses the program on the server and select Next to proceed.
- Select Server - only for Sage 50 Server Components and select Finish.
Option 2: The Full Product has already been downloaded on another system
- Open the C:\Sage folder.
- Select Sage 50 Installer Files - CDN Release (select the appropriate release, ie 2024.0).
- Copy the folder to the server - either via shared drive or USB key.
- On the server run the Launch.exe file.
- Select Install Sage 50.
- Select the Language.
- Select OK.
- Select Yes for the Windows Firewall setup and select Next.
- You have two options: Typical or Advanced.
- Select Advanced
- Select Next.
- Select Server - only for Sage 50 Server Components.
- Select Finish when the install completes.
- Go to the system where the update is already installed.
- Select Windows Start, then Computer.
- Go to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Sage Software\Simply Accounting\Download.
- Find the latest update that was installed.
- Example: 2023.2 full product SA_20232CPUP1.exe
- Copy this file to a USB stick or to the server.
- Run this update on the server to update the Connection Manager.
Option 4: Update the Connection Manager from the Sage 50 Connection Manager window
- Open the Connection Manager.
- Click the Update button.
- The Update button will only show if you selected "Server-only" install
