System Requirements: Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate version 18

Internet Access Required
In order to install and use Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate version 18, your server and workstations must have internet access to properly license and entitle your purchased products/modules.

Note: Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, Sage 50, and Sage 300 cannot be installed on the same computer because they use different versions of Pervasive that are not compatible with each other. Contact your business partner or support professional for possible solutions if you need to run these products congruently.

Recommended server configuration

Operating System

• Windows Server 2019 (only with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate versions 18.3.1 and higher)
• Windows Server 2016
• Windows Server 2012 R2

Note: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2: As of January 14, 2020, Microsoft no longer delivers any new security patches. Based on Microsoft's end of life dates, Sage no longer includes Windows Server 2008 R2 as a Recommended Operating System and recommends that Sage 300 CRE customers using this operating system move to a current operating system.

Note: Windows Essentials Edition and domain controllers are not supported.

SQL software

If you plan to use Sage SQL Replicator, you will need SQL Server version 2016 SP1 or later. You can use the Sage SQL Installer (in the Sage Administration program group). The size of the replicated data in SQL Server is larger than the original Pervasive data because Sage SQL Replicator adds views and indexes the data. You can use SQL Express (available at no extra cost) if your database isn't too large. Otherwise, you must use full SQL Server (Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition). Depending on your use of Sage SQL Replicator, use a physical machine or VM with the dedicated resources shown below:

• Not using replicator:
  • CPU: Current generation multi-core processor* with 4+ cores; 1.6+GHz
  • RAM: 8+ GB**
  • Hard drive: Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or Solid State Drive (SSD)
• Replicator with minimal, scheduled, or on demand replication:
  • CPU: Current generation multi-core processor* with 4+ cores; 2+ GHz
  • RAM: 8+ GB**
  • Hard drive: Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or Solid State Drive (SSD)
• Replicator with live/continuous replication:
  • CPU: Current generation multi-core processor* with 8 cores; 2.4+ GHz
  • RAM: 32+ GB**
  • Hard drive: Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or Solid State Drive (SSD) with 200 MB/seconds of sustained read/write throughput

*Such as Intel® Core i3™, Intel® Core i5™, Intel® Core i7™ or Intel® Xeon™.

**Depending on the size and number of your databases, the number of concurrent users, and if additional business applications are hosted on the same server.

Note: As of Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate 17.1, 32-bit operating systems are not supported. While you may be able to install this product on a 32-bit OS, certain features may not perform as expected.

Network

• Wired Network Adapter
  • Desktop client workstations must have a wired network connection to the server.
  • Desktop client users who connect to your company's network through WiFi or VPN must open a Remote Desktop connection to the client machine on which Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate is installed.
• Ports - Software and Hardware firewalls must be setup to accept these ports: 25, 80, 137 - 139, 443, 515/TCP, 1583/TCP, 3351/TCP, 8101, 8102, 11486 - 11488/TCP, plus additional ports as required for SQL Server.
• Windows Active Directory domain is required for Sage SQL Replicator and Mobile features.

Software

• Microsoft 365, Office 2016, or Office 2013 (only 32-bit versions are supported). To ensure compatibility with Sage 300 CRE, the Click-to-Run installation method for these Office products is not recommended.
• SAP Crystal Reports for Sage 300 Construction 2013 SP2 or 2016 (for modifying and creating Crystal Reports designs)

Peripherals

• Monitor Resolution - 1024 pixels by 768 pixels up to 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels (Full HD). Avoid monitors with 2K resolution.
• Printer - A Microsoft-certified printer driver is recommended.
