  • Note: see PDF below (under the "Attachments" section) for a mini guide on getting started using Sage 50 integrated with Microsoft Microsoft 365 Business Standard.

Option 1: I just purchased Microsoft 365 from Sage and I want to integrate it with Sage 50.

Follow the steps in Getting Started with your Microsoft 365 subscription from Sage.

Option 2: I purchased Microsoft 365 through a 3rd party company, not Sage, and I want to use only the Cloud Backup integration feature with Sage 50.

Follow the steps in How do I use the Microsoft 365 feature Cloud Backup?.

Option 3: I purchased Microsoft 365 through a 3rd party company, not Sage, and I want to integrate it with Sage 50 using more than just the Cloud Backup feature.

    1. Go to https://portal.office.com and sign in with your Microsoft 365 credentials. Click the app launcher in the upper left corner, then choose the Admin tile.
    2. On the Admin center, in the Active user's tile, click Edit a user. Click your user name. Verify the following:
      • You have the Global Administrator role
      • You have a Business BasicBusiness Standard, Business Premium, Enterprise E1, E3, or E5 subscription
      • You are not using an alias user name.

Note: You can use an alias user name to login to Microsoft 365. But you will not be able to use it when signing on to the integration setup in Sage 50.

    1. Call our Sales department at 877-495-9904 and request that they add the "Microsoft 365 Connector SKU" to your account. This will accept Sage as your Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), allowing you to access Microsoft 365’s integration features.
    2. Once you have the Microsoft 365 Connector SKU, the Sage Solutions Admin will send you an email invitation. The email will go to your email address on file and the sender's email address will be [email protected].
    3. Open the email invitation and click blue Get started button.
    4. On the Microsoft Sign in page, enter your Microsoft 365 user name from step 2. Then click the blue Next button.
    5. On the Enter password page, enter your password, then click the blue Sign in button.
    6. The next window will be labeled Step 1. Agreements and Permissions. Click the blue Accept button at the bottom right.
    7. The next window is labeled Step 2. Connect Sage 50 with Microsoft 365. Click View and Accept Invitation to accept the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Invitation.
    8. Click Sign in to view and accept the invitation.
    9. Click the Check box Yes to indicate you have read and understand the terms and are authorized to agree to them on behalf of your organization.
    10. Click the Authorize CSP button to allow Sage to become a Cloud Solution Provider.
    11. You will receive a message that the invitation successfully accepted delegated administration offer. Click close on this window and switch back to the partner authorization tab.
    12. Enter the verification code you'll receive in your email. If you don't receive one within a few minutes, click send another code.
    13. Once the setup completes, click Finish at the bottom.
    14. Select the checkbox "I'll sync Sage 50 data later", then click the blue Finish button.
    15. The next window is the Sage Business Center. In the lower right is an option to Bookmark this page, we recommend.
    16. If you have never accessed your OneDrive app in Microsoft 365, do the following:
      • Click the Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center link under Step 1 in the Manage Users section.
      • Close the Welcome to Microsoft 365 admin center pop up when it appears.
      • Click the Microsoft 365 header or the Office app launcher in the upper left (the square with the 9 tiny white squares in the middle).
      • Click the OneDrive icon or tile.
      • You should either get a window that states that OneDrive is getting prepared, or the OneDrive interface should show as ready. Once the OneDrive interface is ready to upload files, Microsoft 365 is prepared to accept the integration with Sage 50.
    1. To connect your data to Microsoft 365 and begin synchronizing to take advantage of integration features first made available in Sage 50 2017.2, follow the steps in How to sync Sage 50—U.S. Edition data with Microsoft Microsoft 365.
    2. Once you have synced your data, if you wish to give other users add-in access, follow Give additional users Microsoft 365 add-in access for Sage 50—U.S. Edition.
    3. If you would like to set up Cloud backup, follow How do I use the Microsoft 365 feature Cloud Backup?.
