Processing and merging tax forms for multiple companies

Summary

When using multiple payroll companies in Sage BusinessWorks it is possible to merge the payroll information for quarterly and year-end processing using Enhanced Tax Reporting. The multiple payroll data files option will merge any payroll form like W-2s, 941, 941, State forms, and 1099s.

Resolution

Before you begin:

  •  In order to merge multiple payroll companies, the Federal Tax ID # must be the same for each company's payroll data files you are merging.
  • You must go into each company and indicate that you are using multiple payroll data files and save the Payroll Data files.
